Sow under cover with warmth in trays from 8-10 weeks prior to the last frost.  Can be sown late spring in a glasshouse but needs 15-20C to germinate. Surface sow pressing seed gently into growing medium as they require light to germinate.
Germination averages 1-3 weeks depending on temperature provided.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle and grow on under glass or acclimatise and plant out in warm weather.
Performs well in containers as well, but does need to be kept out of the hottest mid-summer conditions.
